Trade in Your Old Phone for a Newer One!

trade in your old phoneWith how integrated smartphones are in today’s society, it’s easy to see how having a fully capable smart phone can give you the edge in a media-driven world. The problem is, however, that what’s considered “capable” is always changing in the wake of constant upgrades and new options from the likes of Apple, Samsung, and a number of other companies. Needless to say, it can get pretty expensive to constantly upgrade to the newest model. Thankfully, you can get the most for your money by buying pre-owned while you trade in your old phone.

One example I like to give people is a company called GoodCellas, which has everything you need to learn how to sell your cell phone. You may already have a plan with your phone carrier that includes upgrades and price plans and what-not for your device, but the thing is, those plans almost never match the price-efficiency of buying and selling pre-owned.

What does this mean from a more general work-efficiency standpoint though? If you buy a new one and trade in your old phone, then you’ll typically be able to upgrade phones more frequently, especially because you won’t be bound additional rules on a carrier’s phone contract.

The main drawback here is that the small hassle of changing phones frequently means that you’ll also have to go about transferring your data on top of learning your way around your new phone’s interface. (Although, that will vary more amongst the different models of android phones than what you’ll see with iOS.

Ultimately, however, you’ll have authorship over how you handle your own business and all of your media needs through your phone. You’re already doing it anyway, so you may as well save yourself some money in the process.

Finally, here’s a news report that helps point out some potential security risks when you trade in that old phone. Make sure you take the proper steps!
